Bitte wende dich an die KOHA-Mailingliste (http://www.koha.org/community/mailing-lists.html). Besser die englische als die deutsche (nicht sehr aktiv). Oder schau in den IRC etc. (http://www.koha.org/community/index.html)

Daniel: I'm curious to know what features your current ILS has that Koha doesn't. LibLime's put together a general list of <a href="http://liblime.com/c/koha.html" rel="nofollow">Koha Features</a>.

Joshua, thanks for your comment, it's just that Liblime's website is a bit confusing on that point. Maybe you could add some information on this topic to your site...

Hope you'll get an open source foot in the door to the library catalog business. It's a small (but confirmed) gap yet.
I find it very displeasing any time I want to look up some rather exotic configuration settings of our proprietary library system software and don't find any useful things in their weird documentation (least their closed code). Koha has its potential, especially when you get more people using it.

hehe. OK ... English it is ;-). So LibLime's Koha demos are just a customization of Koha, not really a fork. The differences between our Koha and the 2.2.2 version are mainly just differences in our CSS file, which anyone can view. The other differences (like the enhancement features) are being committed back into the HEAD branch (some already have been committed) and will appear in the next version of Koha. We point folks to the sourceforge site because that's were we commit our code at the end of the day -- we're sticking with the Koha project, not forking or branching from it.

The main purpose of the demos is to show how good Koha can look with a little customization, as well as show off all the features, so that our potential clients can evaluate Koha's functionality and determine what, if anything, needs to be developed before they can implement it. At least in North America, libraries have been slow to implement open-source solutions mainly because they don't have the in-house support needed for software maintenance, staff training, etc. LibLime is closing the gap by providing these vendor services on Koha, as well as our other products.

BTW: we are also willing to provide vendor services to folks elsewhere in the world, it's just that our main marketing focus is in North America for now.

Joshua: Your "Deutsch" is not "recht schlecht", but simply not understandable. Please re-post your comment in English - I'm sure everybody in here will understand it better - otherwise I'll be pleased to give a better translation after.

Anyway: I visited your website 2 weeks ago and was very impressed about this KOHA implementation. It really looks nice, well featured and user friendly. I really hope that this fork (is it a fork?) will be available soon!

Hmm. Sehr merkwürdig all das. Danke jedenfalls für den Hinweis.
