Der Song war ja schon etwas länger in Arbeit, nun ist aber das komplette Video fertig. David Lee King und Michael Porter (Libraryman) haben ein wirklich witziges Video mit schmissiger Musik gestaltet. Beim ersten Durchlauf erkannte ich Jessamyn West unter den “DarstellerInnen” und war recht beeindruckt von den anderen bekannten Namen, die bei den hi-fi sci-fi library: The Lyrics and Credits gelistet sind.
Ein Auszug aus dem Text, der wunderbar zum Thema “Veränderung des Berufsbildes” passt:

To prepare our libraries we must be informed, explore lots
and have fun learning how to evolve.
Learn about things like gaming, social software and being
just where our users are: that brings us HUGE Wows.
Look at open-source software and the creative commons,
look at netfilx and itunes and learn how
We can take competition, turn it into fruition:
THE LIBRARY FOR TOMORROW AND NOW!

    Thank you very much for posting about the “hi-fi sci-fi library” song and video, ES. I don’t speak much German, but I did see “wunderbar” so I am guessing you were amused.

    It amazes me every day how library professionals around the planet connect and share and create and learn together. And this post, from a far off land (to me:) made me very, very happy. Thanks!
